Do Unused DataBlueprint Credits Roll Over?
Plan credits reset each billing cycle. Top-up credits never expire. Here is the full rule.
Credit policies are usually buried in a footer somewhere. We would rather just tell you up front.
The rule, in one sentence
Plan credits reset each billing cycle. Purchased top-up credits never expire.
What plan credits cover
Every paid tier of DataBlueprint includes a monthly bucket of credits that powers:
- Decision Topic refreshes
- AI question and answer cycles run by a private LLM powered by AWS Bedrock
- Trigger evaluations
- Knowledge Graph refresh cycles
These reset to your tier's allotment at the start of each billing cycle. Unused plan credits do not carry over — that is how we keep tier prices predictable.
What top-up credits are
If you anticipate a heavy month — a board cycle, a quarterly close, a launch — you can buy a top-up pack of credits at any time. Top-ups never expire. They sit in your account until used, and they are drawn from after your monthly plan credits run out.
Why we split it this way
Some months you use your full allotment. Some months you use half. Rolling unlimited monthly credits forward would mean paying for usage you never had. Letting top-ups expire would punish prudent customers who pre-buy capacity. Splitting the two keeps both sides honest.
Visibility
You can see your current plan credits, top-up balance, and burn rate inside DataBlueprint at any time. There are no surprise overages — when both buckets are empty, refreshes pause and you are notified.
